The 501’s sharper sibling. Underestimated. Never replicated.

Introduced in 1967, the 505 was Levi’s answer to a more streamlined silhouette — a zip fly, a cleaner through-the-thigh, the same American-made construction. What collectors know that casual buyers don’t: a USA-made 505 in excellent condition is increasingly difficult to find. Most were worn into the ground. The ones that survived intact did so by luck.

The quality markers are the same as the 501 — domestic cotton, shuttle-loom denim on the earliest pairs, copper hardware, and a manufacturing standard that moved overseas long before most people noticed. When you find a 505 with honest fades, original hardware, and a Made in USA tag, you’re looking at something the current market simply cannot produce.
